Kansas Snow Geese

Each spring Ponderosa Outfitters Waterfowl Adventures makes the trek to central Kansas in pursuit of snow geese.  For those of you that have not experienced it, there is nothing in the waterfowl world like a tornado of snow geese funneling into your decoys.  Beginning in the last week of February, Snow goose hunts are based out of North Central Kansas.  This area is well known for huge population of greese that stage on the local lakes and reservoirs in the region.  Typically, as the birds continue their migration north we relocate to second camp out of Nebraska.  From this camp hunts are concentrated around North Central Kansas and extended north into Nebraska.  Since all hunts are conducted in the Conservation Season there is no bag or possession limit on light geese.  In addition to this, clients will be allowed to use unplugged shotguns and take light geese from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.
